Fagan and Bradley are the names of the developers of the Sidereal system, although Vedic astrologers naturally, by observation, use the Sidereal time and have for centuries.

ASTROLOGY AS WE KNOW IT IS BUNK
ASTROLOGY uses a flawed navigational chart—the "Tropical" system. ALL Tropical astrology calculations are off by almost a month—telling us we’re the sign ahead of our actual sign. Tropical astrology is wildly misleading, no wonder astrologers are mocked by astronomers!

SIDEREAL TIME gives us the EXACT position of Earth as it orbits the Sun and the elliptic. Only Sidereal time assigns the right astrological sign to your natal Sun and the planets as they travel across the Zodiacal constellations.

Traditional Western astrology has been flawed since Ptolemy, the Roman astronomer who designed Tropical astrology, ignored the precession of the equinoxes, the anomaly in the earth’s rotation. This annual event gradually causes a loss of one degree every 72 years. When Ptolemy locked Earth’s motion to its seasons, he planted a ever-worsening error in his own system. In his era, 212 A.C.E., Spring occurred in Aries and the mistake had no effect. Today, 1800 years later, it starts in Pisces.

EVERY astrological chart using the Tropical method is ahead of itself by 24 degrees. It’s easy to verify this with a cursory look at the skies, by observation or computer. Sidereal will accurately reflect the planets’ true positions in the Zodiac, while the Tropical system is patently false.

Tropical astrology is a disaster which makes “modern” astrology, and astrologers, the laughing stock in the scientific community. Sidereal astrology makes Tropical astrology obsolete, we use exactly the same celestial calculations as astronomers. Sidereal astrology uses the fixed stars as the reference points, rather than the vernal equinox, so Sidereal results will be always accurate regardless of the changing seasons. Astronomers also use the fixed stars because their vast distances from Earth make their positions virtually permanent. Vedic astrologers also use sidereal time—having never adhered to Ptolemy’s ephemeris, and always using their own observations.

Our slogan is: “Bring astrology back to move it forward.” Using Sidereal time, astrology is again a credible sociological tool and a valuable personal helpmate for the modern age. This is what the creators of astrology had in mind: a system that connects us with the Universe, a way to look into the infinite and synch ourselves with vast fabric of time and space. We can still use the ancient archetypical heroes and villains to bring an ineffable narrative into our lives. Without an accurate map of the Universe, however, can we ever hope to understand it, or our places in it?

The Case For Sidereal
Cyril fagan developed Sidereal astrology as an more accurate way of charting the skies. Sidereal astrology relies on the fixed stars to plot natal charts, the most reliable way. Tropical astrology changes according to the seasons, which change over time themselves. The fixed stars are better indicators, since they are "fixed" in our cosmos by distance. They are so far away their positions can be used as fixed points.
